MCDF Architects is an architectural practice that provides a range of specialist skills in the design and delivery of Educational, Institutional and Adaptive re-use projects.
MCDF Architects was formed in 2013, with Dean Fehlberg as Principal Director, to continue the work of Marcus Collins Architects upon the retirement of Marcus Collins. The team of dedicated architects and staff has maintained the ethos of the practice and continued with the commissions of established clients.
MCA produced an extensive portfolio of work which won sixteen design awards including twice winning the George Temple Poole aware for best design in all categories in Western Australia.
A highly collaborative studio environment ensures personal contact with the director and involvement of all staff on projects to ensure we provide responsive and creative design solutions for every project undertaken.
The practice places a strong emphasis on research and has developed a large knowledge base for the types of projects it undertakes, particularly in the field of Education design. Offering clients specialised advice for campus masterplanning, site selection, and the design of both new and adaptive re-use education buildings.
We believe this integrated approach to architectural design based on intense collaboration between client, consultants and contractors provides a strong foundation for our projects and reflects the practices ability to deliver good design on time and on budget.
